Summit Education Group Payroll and Benefits Administrator
The Summit Education Group Payroll and Benefits Administrator is responsible for completing monthly payroll while managing benefits administration for all SEG employees and partners. The Payroll and Benefits Administrator duly reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources and the Chief Financial Officer. The Payroll and Benefits Administrator abides by and supports the vision, mission, values, policies and procedures of Summit Education Group as well as relevant State and Federal policies and regulations. Duties and Responsibilities: Specific Responsibilities: Understands chart of accounts in accordance with the state uniform chart of accounts, observing policies and procedures, and successfully interacting with financial and oversight institutions. Manages payroll, making PERA, federal & state tax, and other deposits as well as completing annual tax forms (e.g., W2 and 1099). Completes a timely monthly audit of all bills (e.g., medical, dental, vision and life etc.). Assists employees with benefit set up while ensuring they are versed in all benefits offered. Create subsidiary ledgers that tie to the general ledger. Ensure all payroll withholdings, benefit payables, and liability tax accounts are reconciled monthly to ensure all entries tie to general ledger. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Act as liaison between any applicable vendors/partners and Summit Education Group pertaining to benefits and payroll matters.

Qualifications: Education and Training: An ideal candidate will have years of complex payroll preparation experience, this experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement. Bachelor’s degree in business, payroll, accounting, or related field plus additional coursework preferred. Trained in a variety of software programs.
